Patrick J. Fleis, Associate


While attending Marquette University Law School, Patrick was involved in the Marquette Intellectual Property Law Review; one year as a member and one year as Managing Editor of the Law Review.  His article, “Stemming the Stem Cell Setback,” won the initial Frank Deguire award for best student written intellectual property article in 2003.

Prior to attending law school, and after graduating from the University of Michigan School of Engineering, Patrick undertook various jobs, most notably working as Peace Corps Volunteer from 1997-1999 in the West African nation of Ghana, where he further developed his analytical skills by teaching high school level mathematics and science, including chemistry, physics, and calculus.

Practice Areas: Patents and Patent Litigation, Trademarks, Copyrights, Trade Secrets and Unfair Competition.

  Admitted to Wisconsin Bar, 2003, also admitted to practice before U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin; registered to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
